Getaround Cruise Control

How does Getaround Cruise Control work?
Getaround’s Cruise Control pricing algorithm is designed to effectively and dynamically manage your car's pricing using the year/make/model details of your car, and a number of factors including location and demand.

With Cruise Control, your car's rates may be adjusted as often as once a day, based on the variables outlined above.

Why can’t I control my car’s price?
If you are in a city where Getaround's offers Cruise Control pricing, you will not be able to set your car's daily or hourly rates. Getaround’s pricing algorithm will dynamically set your car’s rates based on a number of variables including car details, location and demand.

By guiding car pricing across the marketplace, we can ensure that all cars are earning at their full potential.

Why is my car priced differently than similar cars nearby?
Getaround’s pricing algorithm will dynamically set your car's rate based on a number of factors beyond the year/make/model of your car.

What if a renter books my car for a date in the future? What price will they be charged?
A renter will pay your car’s current rate, regardless of what dates they are booking for. Any extensions will charged at the hourly rate at which the original trip was booked.

Why did I earn different amounts for two trips with the same duration?
Cruise Control updates the prices dynamically based on demand fluctuations to maximize your car's earnings - although your price may not change everyday.

When is Cruise Control coming to my market?
We plan to roll Cruise Control out across all Getaround communities in the near future. Currently, Cruise Control is only available in New Jersey, Boston and for select vehicles in San Francisco.
