Can I use Getaround to drive with Uber?

You can now find, rent and unlock Getaround cars nearby to drive with Uber whenever you want - whether it's for a few hours or a full day.

Renting on Getaround to drive with Uber is an easy and flexible way to try Uber without owning your own vehicle. You are able to rent a participating Getaround car for as little or as long as you need without paying for gas, insurance, wear and tear, or any long-term commitment.

You can learn more, and sign up and drive with Uber here. Once you are approved to drive with Uber, you will have access to the Drive with Uber section of the Getaround app.

Can I book any Getaround car to drive with Uber? 

No, you cannot drive with Uber in just any Getaround car. Most Getaround cars may not be driven with Uber, and you'll need to book a car from the Drive with Uber section of the Getaround app.

Getaround cars that are available to be driven with Uber are a set of cars that are designated only for driving with Uber. When you're ready to book a Getaround car to drive with Uber, select Drive with Uber from the dropdown menu to view cars that are available to be driven with Uber:

When you tap Drive with Uber, you'll be taken to the Drive with Uber section of the Getaround app, where you'll see a list of cars available to drive with Uber. To view the cars on a map instead, tap on the map icon on the top right:

Remember that standard Getaround cars are not available to be driven with Uber. If you're booking your reservation to drive with Uber, you should only book cars listed in the Drive with Uber section of the Getaround app.

Please note: The ability to drive with Uber is currently a closed pilot and eligibility is at Uber's sole discretion.
