Uber Drivers who link their account to Getaround gain access to vehicles pre-approved for Uber. This is known as our Drive with Uber Program. In certain cities, Uber drivers will be able to book vehicles at a more affordable rate by the Day or Week rather than just by the hour. The cities that have these additional booking options, will show a new filter for “Booking Type” upon search. The three booking options in cities participating in the Drive with Uber Program are: Hourly, Daily, and Weekly.
Upon booking a Getaround car in the Drive with Uber program under the “Booking Type”: Daily or Weekly in participating cities, Uber drivers must be aware and adhere to some new or additional policies:
- Booking minimum is 2 days
(select “Hourly” to see cars available for more flexible reservation times)
- Booking maximum is 28 days
- Book as quickly as 15 minutes prior to the reservation start time
- Book as far in advance as 48 hours from the reservation start time
(Drivers are unable to book multiple days, weeks or months in advanced)
- Uber Drivers can extend in app a minimum of 1 day
- Uber Drivers can extend in app a maximum of 1 week (pending reservation does not exceed 28 days)
Tips and Tricks for booking more affordable vehicles in the Drive with Uber Program:
1. Search in one of our cities offering the two additional “Booking Types”: Daily and Weekly
2. Select Hourly for the most flexible options
3. Select Daily for better rates Day - to Day
4. Select Weekly for our best possible rate
If no cars are available upon selecting your preferred “Booking Type”:
- Try updating your reservation start time
- Zoom out on the map to see more car locations
- Select a different “Booking Type”
- Check back daily as more cars become available
