Cars on Getaround have a base mileage included with your reservation. Additional mileage beyond the standard limits will result in additional charges as longer trips lead to additional wear and tear and maintenance needs.
Cars in standard trips have a limit of 20 miles per hour, up to 200 miles per 24-hour period. All Drive With Uber trips have unlimited mileage.
For Guests who travel over the mileage allotment in a standard trip, a charge of $0.50 per mile will be charged to their account.
Example:
A Guest books for three full days, which allows the Guest 600 miles cumulative for the entire booking. If the Guest drives 250 miles on day 1, 50 miles on day 2, and 100 miles on day 3, the total mileage calculated at the end of the reservation is 400 miles. Day 1 would not incur an overage fee even though 250 miles occurred on day 1. The mileage calculation and any overage fees are based on the total mileage driven by the Guest for the entire trip in comparison to the mileage cap, which is calculated based on booking times and dates.
