While not all Getaround cars are pet-friendly, some hosts do allow pets. If you plan on bringing a pet, look for the green pet-friendly icon in the Etiquette section of the car profile. If pets are not allowed, the pet's icon will be displayed in red. Bringing your pet into a non-pet-friendly car will result in a Cleaning Fee equivalent to the cost of cleaning + $25.00 as per our fee schedule.
Here are some guidelines to follow when bringing your pet along for the ride:
- Always use a pet carrier in your Getaround car.
- Make sure to vacuum after your pet.
- Excessive pet hair left /or dirt in the car and related to a pet being in the car at the end of the trip may result in a Cleaning Fee equivalent to the cost of cleaning + $25.00 as per our fee schedule.
Service Animals
Service Animals are exempt from our Pet Policy in accordance with local accessibility law and may be brought with you. However, we recommend that you contact the host directly to let them know in case they have any serious allergies to consider. Service Animals must also travel in a carrier at all times and you are responsible to leave the vehicle fully cleaned.
