For FasTrack holders
In order to ensure that all toll crossings are billed to Getaround instead of your personal FasTrak account, follow the steps below to remove your car's license plate information from your FasTrak account.
To avoid being billed for guests' tolls, take care to remove your transponder from your car before all Getaround trips.
To remove your license plate information from your FasTrak account:
- Visit www.BayAreaFasTrak.org to login to your account
- Click on "Vehicles and Tags" then "Delete Vehicle" for the car(s) on your FasTrak account that are also shared on Getaround. This will allow a transponder to be used without it being tied to a specific vehicle. It may now be used outside of guest trips without issue.
For Other Tolling Providers
Most other tolling providers will not allow a transponder to be registered without a license plate. For these toll providers, a transponder cannot be in the vehicle or the tolls will be double-charged to both Getaround and the transponder holder's account. We recommend strictly using Getaround's Autotoll in these cases.
