Renters are responsible for returning the car on time or extending as needed through the Getaround app or by calling us.
If a renter returns a car late Getaround will automatically extend their trip and charge them for it. If a renter is late and unable to pay for an extension, Getaround will prioritize getting the vehicle back right away. If Getaround is able to collect a late return fee from the renter, Getaround may compensate the owner for each hour the renter as much as $30/hour up to a maximum $300.
