What should I do if my car gets towed?

If your car has been towed, Getaround will provide you with all the information necessary to retrieve your vehicle from the impound lot. We strongly recommend retrieving your vehicle as quickly as possible to avoid additional impounding fees.

If your car was towed during a Getaround trip or as the result of your renter’s actions, Getaround may be able to assist in retrieving your vehicle. Getaround provides 24/7 roadside assistance during all active Getaround trips.

If it is determined that your renter was at-fault, you will be reimbursed for the full cost of the tow and for any impounding fees, as outlined in our Fee and Commission Schedule. Determinations will be made based on the conditions set out in our renter policies and procedures and in our street parking policy.
