The Getaround mobile app relies on Internet connectivity on your smartphone to communicate with Getaround’s server. Sometimes issues with your phone or network connectivity can impact the app experience. If you believe there is a problem with the app, please try the following:
- If you are connected to the Internet through Wifi, verify with your IT organization if your network has a firewall that blocks certain IP addresses or websites.
- Toggle Wifi off, disable VPN use, and use public Internet over your phone’s cellular to verify if you can connect to Getaround.
- If the problems persist, check to see if you have restrictions on app or connectivity built into your phone. This could happen if you are using a corporate owned phone managed by your IT department.
