Unfortunately, we are not able to provide temporary access to any car on the Getaround platform outside of a reservation due to security reasons. This does mean that in order to retrieve your item you will need to rebook the same vehicle which you can do via the "Rent Again" button on the Trips page. If you have very recently ended your trip and there are no other conflicts, you may also be able to extend your previous trip to recover a forgotten item.
On the Getaround app:
1. Tap the dropdown menu at the top left, and then tap Trips to view your trip history.
2. Scroll through your trip history to find the corresponding trip, and tap “Rent Again” to book the car at a time that is convenient for you to visit it and check for your item(s).
On the Getaround website:
1. Head to your Trips Page by clicking here or clicking ‘Trips’ in the upper right half of the top bar
2. Scroll through your trip history to find the corresponding trip, and tap on the car to book the car at a time that is convenient for you to visit it and check for your item(s).
**Note**: We're here to help as much as we can, but we cannot guarantee that your item will still be present in the car when you go to check for it. Getaround cars are shared cars, used often by many different people, and neither Getaround nor the host is responsible for lost items left in the car.
