What is it?
Getaround Fix is an iOS and Android app powered by Snapsheet to help increase the speed and transparency of the claim appraisal and repair process for our hosts.
How does it work?
After your claim has been approved by a Getaround claims team member an appraisal assignment is created with our appraiser. You will then receive a text message with a unique code and a link to the Android PlayStore or Apple AppStore to download the app.
Upon opening the Getaround Fix app, you will be asked to enter the six digit code you received in the text message. The Getaround Fix app will guide you through the appraisal process step by step. As a part of this process, you may be requested to take additional photos of the damage. Our appraisers only ask this in order to write the most accurate estimate possible.
After you complete the app guided process, our appraisal team will immediately begin to create an estimate for the damage you’ve reported. The average time for an estimate to be completed is within 3 business hours of your submission.
Is this for all of my Getaround claims?
No, the Getaround Fix app is only used for claims that include body damage to the vehicle. Claims that are purely mechanical, wheel/tire, or glass related are not processed via the Getaround Fix app. A Getaround Claim team member will work with you directly to resolve any claim that does not involve auto body damage.
Does this apply to all markets?
Unfortunately, this appraisal experience is not available to our members in Massachusetts. We hope we are able to bring this experience to this market soon!
