Reporting a Claim?
It is important that new claims are reported through the appropriate channel, such that information can be collected ensuring a speedy time to resolution.
- New claims notices are not accepted by telephone
- New claims notices are not accepted by email
- If you are reporting a claim as a Host, Guest, or other parties please follow the instructions below
Host:
Report all claims via the Form in-app.
- Open your Getaround app; navigate to the “Cars” section.
- Tap “Report Damage” near the “Car Key” and “Calendar” buttons.
- Complete the form; adding as much detail as possible.
- Tap “Submit”
- You’re all set!
Guest:
Report all claims via the Form in-app.
If you're currently on a trip...
- Open your Getaround app; navigate to the “Trips” section.
- Tap “Report a new claim” near the “Extend” and “Car Key” buttons.
- Complete the form; adding as much detail as possible.
- Tap “Submit”
- You’re all set!
If you are not able to submit the form successfully, you may report a claim during your trip by pressing the “Help” button in the upper right corner of the trip page in the Getaround mobile app.
If you're reporting a claim on a trip that has already been completed...
- Open your Getaround app; navigate to the “Trips” section.
- Find the trip you'd like to report a claim for and tap into the trip.
- Scroll down to the "Trip Inspection" section.
- Tap “Report a new claim” near the “Start” and “End” Trip Inspection text.
- Complete the form; adding as much detail as possible.
- Tap “Submit”
- You’re all set!
