Receive Your Payments on PayPal with a Few Easy Steps
Hosts on Getaround are paid via Paypal payments. Getting started with PayPal is quick and easy. After you sign up for a PayPal account, you can receive any earnings once your PayPal account is linked to your Getaround account. You’ll find guidance on how to complete these two simple steps below.
❶ Desktop:
- Log into your Getaround account.
URL should be https://www.getaround.com/host/settings#payout - Enter the email address associated with the Paypal account in which you'd like to receive funds.
- Hit the "Save" button to save your changes.

❷ Mobile (iOS and Android):
- Download the Getaround app from Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
- Log into your Getaround account
- Tap on the Menu button at the top left to open the Menu, then tap on "Settings"
4. Enter the email address associated with the Paypal account in which you'd like to receive funds.
5. Hit the "Save" button to save your changes.

Getaround will issue a 1099 report that includes all income information, and PayPal will issue a similar 1099-K that lists transactions. No. Utilizing a PayPal Account and receiving Getaround payments is free to hosts. Getaround absorbs all fees charged by PayPal to ensure the amount of earnings a host receives is not diminished in any way from what is listed on their Earnings Statement or what would have been paid via a check.
